Waiguru in a massive development transformation

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru had assured area residents of her commitment to  transformative  leadership as pledged  in  her pre-election  promises.

The governor said there was tangible development in all the area 20 Wards since she took over the county  leadership in 2017 .

“When you look  at the face of Kerugoya town  and especially opposite the local referral hospital the positive trans formation going on has never been witnessed in the area before . We have moved fast and the   modernisation going on once completed in the next five months  will  provide services to the locals  just like those hospitals in Nairobi offer . ,” she said .

The almost complete kerugoya referral hospital the county government is  constructing and due for completion by this comming June , according to Governor  Anne Waiguru this morning.

Speaking at the St Thomas Cathedral in Kerugoya town this morning where she attended a Sunday service, Waiguru said despite the initial serious challenges her administration faced, she has still managed to deliver .

“These challenges which emerged soon after our election in office and  which we were able  to overcome through the will of God only handed our resolve to serve the people who gave us the mandate to govern this wonderful county ,”she said.

She had on Friday made a similar statement at Kiamwenja market when she attended the funeral ceremony of a renowned law scholar Margaret Wamuyu .

Waiguru told the mourners her administration was committed to ensuring the provision of health services to the locals was given preference.

The governor said once the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern hospital complex was completed it will have a 300 bed capacity.

“We will have all the beds connected to Oxygen gas supply which we manufactured within the hospital to ensure patients who might require the gas got it with ease unlike before where such inpatients used to suffer for lack of the lifesaving commodity , “she noted

She has completely transformed Kutus and Kagio town which were intitally Kiosk towns where she took over the leadership three years ago , where  cabro has become synonymous with the ongoing transformation.

This morning Waiguru also said her administration has set a side Sh 100 million for the construction of a tomato processing factory at Kangai Ward, Mwea West Sub- County.

The governor told the Worshipers they were yet to see more such massive developments this  year across the county during the remaining period before the next general elections.

“The facelifts we are giving our towns will certainly attract  investors who will  embark on massive development in this county  thereby improving the living  standards of our people, “she said.
