School starts receiving Junior secondary students

A section of Master Education Center in Kirinyaga County whick was among a few others in the area to be issued with registration certificates to roll out the Junior secondary school classes

Master Education Center in Kirinyaga Central Sub- County  has started receiving  students transiting to Junior Secondary school.

Most of such students were the previous ones who  did their class six at the same institution hence easily acclimatized to the very environment   they were no strangers to .

The school administration has however invested heavily on basic infrastructure required  for the full implementation of the new education system , the CBC.

The students have readily found a state of the arts science laboratory as well as a similar home science  class  and fully equipped while  the institution has been  issued with all the registration certificates by the ministry of education to enlist the Junior secondary class.

The  school located just  about a kilometer from Kutus    town  and along the Kagio –Kutus road has learners from  far and wide due  to the perennial  star performance in national examination namely the KCPE.

According to Catherine Muriithi who is deeply linked  with the school, the institution has  spacious  classrooms, well equipped dorms for both boys and  girls, as well  as  agricultural projects for dairy         poultry and rabbit keeping.

Ms Muriithi added that the institution has fully equipped CBC Science Laboratory, Art craft and home science workshop are also available for us by the learners.

The institution in coping with the ever changing technologies  by putting up  a well-equipped computer laboratory ,for ICT integration while the school has   clear core  values for full potential development .

The school , according to M/s Muriithi  caters for PPI and PP2 and grades 1-  7 and standard eight which is the last one under the 8-4-4 system the CBC has replaced.

Learners have the option of joining the mixed day or boarding primary school  and now the Junior Secondary .

The boarding  facilities are available from class  four while the dorms   for boys and girls are  separate to maintain good upbringing  values  of the learners .
