
Jubilee issues party certificates to its aspirants

The Kirinyaga County Jubilee party has issued certificates to all its aspirants for various positions save for the gubernatorial one .
Following the move the aspirants who instantly transited to party candidates raged from the Senatorial, Parliamentary , Woman Representative to the MCAs.
Mwea MP Kabinga Wachira being presented with a Jubilee party ticket for the Mwea parliamentary seat from the party national Chairman Nelson Nzuia at the Kirinyaga Central Constituency offices in Kerugoya town this afternoon.
The County Committee of Eminent Persons through its chairman Edwin Kinyua said it took them many hours of night oil burning to reach a compromise on of the six party elective positions .
The Committee has however reserved the issuance of the certificate for the gubernatorial position after the two contenders failed to reach a compromise.

Area Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri and the outgoing Senator Charles Kibiru however assured the local party membership that they were still engaged in serious talks to get out of the stalemate .
Should Ndambiri get the Jubilee certificated he will then be squaring it with his estranged boss Anne Waiguru who is running on a UDA ticket.

But should it end up being Kibiru , then Ndambiri will certainly play the second fiddle
Initially according to the Committee outgoing area Woman Representative had indicated her desire to join Kibiru and Ndambiri in the scrutiny but changed her mind midstream and went Independent for the same seat
The 12 member Committee also comprises of the Interior PS Karanja Kibicho and Wilson Njega who is his (karanja’s deputy ) among others.
Speaking at the Kirinyaga Central CDF offices within Kerugoya town where the certificates were being issued , Kibicho reminded the candidates to forge a united front to floor their common enemy , the UDA rivals .
“All of you have fought such a battle to clinch the Jubilee certificate but this is just the first phase of the batlle ahead and I urge you to start working as a team and form such a formidable force that will the UDA opponents with their mouths gaping ,”he said.
The Woman Representative seat was being contested by Shujaa Rose Wanjiru Wachira and Rose Kuthii Muguchu .
Then Committee after an intense sorrow search and many other considerations settled on Shujaa Rose but promised Muguchu she will certainly be given a position by the incoming dispensation.
Former Senator Daniel Karaba was issued with his certificate to battle it out with UDA’s Kamau Murango , Safina’s Peter Kathanga among other contenders .
Kirinyaga Central MP Munene Wambugu who was issued with his Jubilee certificate will now battle it out with Gachoki Gitari of the UDA.
And Mwea MP Kabinga Wachira who also sailed through without any opposition from the Jubilee wing will face UDA s Mary Maingi during the August 9 polls.
Engineer Kangangi Gikungi will face the outgoing Ndia MP George Kariuki of the UDA while Njogu Barua will square it with the incumbent Gichugu MP Gichimu Githinji also of the UDA
The Committee also presented all the 20 area MCAs with their certificates ready for a combat with their UDA declared political enemies .
