Am not tethered to any party like a goat- Ngirici

Kirinyaga Woman  Representative Wangui Ngirici has told  off her arch   rival Governor Anne Waiguru  for recently declaring her intent to join the UDA .

Ngirici said she was not afraid of political  competition from Waiguru and was ready  for a  duel with her any time any where .

“Am not afraid of any possible competition from Waiguru who is still listening to what   the ground is saying when we are already past that level ,”she said.

The first time parliamentarian said  she knows what the ground looks like unlike Waiguru who recently said she was listening to what  the ground was saying  before she made  a move to join the bad wagon.

“I know how the ground looks like since am always with the people unlike Waiguru who is listening to what the ground is saying before she decided her next move ,”the leader said.

Speaking at Ngaru and Riamigaa  villages in Kirinyaga  Central and Kirinyaga West Sub-Counties  respectively during a peace initiative  meetings  this afternoon, Ngirici said if the worse came to the worst and got ditched by UDA, she was not tethered to the party like a goat .

“Kama nikuondoka , ninaondoka na  watu wa nyumba yangu wote  na twende  kwa nyumba ingine tukiwa vile vile ,”akasema .

Ngirici who had just jetted back into  the country from an  overseas assignment said she was more  than ready to battle it with Waiguru for the gubernatorial seat come next year’s general elections .

“Waiguru should go and vie for the gubernatorial position in Muranga where she is married and leave us in Kirinyaga alone to decide our own political destiny  in as far as the governor’s seat is concerned, “she said.

She said the coveted seat should only be contested by only those who live with wananchi in the county and not by ‘day scholars ‘ who are never in touch with reality on the ground .

Her husband ‘General Andrew Ngirici who accompanied her said he was her supporter number one.

“Wangui is my wife and aim her political supporter and  this time round am not relenting until  she become the third governor of this great county,”Ngirici declared .

Interior PS Karanja Kibicho and his Infrastructure colleague Professor Mwangi Maringa attended both meetings where they promised to ensure the peace prevailing in the county continued for the good of the residents.
